The Algorithm Is Bugging...

Instagram’s algorithm has been off for weeks (more like the last two months) if you haven’t noticed already. The once easy navigational aspect of adding hashtags to get your posts seen by others who don’t follow you is now killing your views and shadow-banning you from your original followers. That’s right! Using hashtags is killing your content. The reason for this is because Instagram doesn’t want you to use the same hashtags consistently. The copy and paste effect of using hashtags drives them to believe you are a “bot” instead of a real person. This sucks!

What to do?

Well, from what I hear, the move as of now is to stop using hashtags (especially so many) and drive your content to your story and IG reels. Now, this may take a little bit of work, but the reward will be lucrative. Until Instagram resets the algorithm, we should all be focused on the reels and the stories. Yes, we should still post daily on our feeds, but with limited hashtags and killer content that our followers will love.

What type of content do you need?

  • More Video Content
  • Carousels
  • Gifs.
  • Maybe even a few contests to push your followers to engage more.

Try these out and let me know how they work. I would love to hear your feedback.
